well yesterday was a rather simple but exciting day for me. nothing much happened in the day until i practiced the piano. it was as if my fingers were on a high or somethings cos i hadn't practiced for quite awhile so i thought i would have stiff fingers but apparently not..heh.

in the evening, i was supposed to meet melissa chua mei yi aka mel at toa payoh central for dinner and collect jazreel and my dance night tickets from her. for the first time in a long time, i was punctual but mel injured her knee so she went for acupuncture. a huge surprise since she goes mad at the sight of a needle which concludes the pain must have been killing her. so anyway thanks to her brilliant knee, i made my way to bishan to meet her at the clinic..out of cash we headed to bryan's house to borrow 10 bucks. haha. nice spongebob boxers bryan! after that oh so not pleasant sight, we had dinner at the food court in J8..our foor was kinda salty so we bought a drink at mos burger. what?! they sell better drinks there yo. haha. at about 7 plus, we cabbed to mel's house and i helped her choose a pimp outfit..before you people get all excited..it's part of her costume but then again mel's a pretty good pimp *winks* mel was bored i guess so she suggested we started pranking people..it was quite fun but nothing big happened as we expected. oh well. there's always another time biatch! after our several attempts, we went downstairs to have a slice of mel's mom's carrot cake. SHIOK!!!

around 11.15 my mom picked me up and we headed to syed's for supper with angela, jennifer, aunty janet and aunty cristy. i had a good time catching up with angela (: we stayed up till...haha not 2am this time people..we stayed till a little past midnight. haha.

mhmms. my remedy for melancholy would definitely be hanging out with my army of girlfriends, eugene and marcus. well last night was pretty awesome actually. all my members turned up for rciy!!! session was good and food was scrum dilly yumcious haha (: after the session, i had another round of hor fun and i'm usually the one who doesn't eat at all! ironic eh..i think my period is coming cos i've been eating sooooo much lately. heh. anyway i was quite touched by nicholas as he didn't write to me any warm fuzzies or mention my name during his testimony at the retreat last week so he wrote me a letter. awww so sweet right..i mean it was really nothing to me but it meant something to him. haha well that really lightened my evening. then adel eugene daffy marcus chels cristy and i had supper at the 925 coffeeshop. adel eugene daffy and marcus had porridge and frogs legs. SHIOK LA!!! oh wells. there's always another time nic. after supper adel went to her friend's place to play mahjong while we went to funland to plat daytona2 but oh no no we were late by a min so the uncle didn't allow us to retrieve our tokens. horrible right..so we decided to drop by chels and cristy's place so they collected dvds. in the mean time, eugene drove a few rounds around the car park..scary but i gota admitt eugene's a pretty good driver. haha. finally the princesses came and we headed to eugene's place for our movie marathon. we had chips and syrup whilst wactching blades of glory and license to wed..blades of glory was so funny and license to wed just wanted to make the girls cry. feeling satisfied but sleepy, we all went home. i miss jamie!!!

I turned on the tv and was switching channels as usual. Then i came across the national channel whereby they were interviewing Zhang Ziyi. Her interview was truly inspirational and she is definitely one of my new role models. At a young age of 13, she was enrolled in a top dance academy whereby they train young dancers from ages 11 to 17. They study ballet, modern dance, folk dance(chinese dance) and martial arts.!!! Most of the students there end up being professional dancers . In the case of Ziyi, she never believed in herself as she was constantly at the bottom. One day, her teachers enrolled her in a competition and she felt the drive to work hard as her parents were paying a lot for her school fees and if everyone could do it so could she. She worked extremely hard from technique to flexibility to stamina to style. She took part in a competition and was named one of china's top dancers. Amazing eh..she also took up acting and martial arts which is why she can execute her stunts so gracefully on film..a great example is crouching tiger hidden dragon (: I also admire her because her colleagues have so many positive statements about her. When she is filming, she is usually surrounded by a blue screen as computer effects would be filled in later so most of her acting and stunts is purely her imagination and feelings. She is also a very passionate person as she spends most of her time on set or in her hotel room working. She not only acts in hollywood films but plays which require her to memorise lyrics, portray her feelings of the song and most importantly maintain the style of the song. Most would agree with me that this isn't an easy job eh. On the whole, she has met many obstacles but has made it through tough times.

Conclusion: I know that everyone has to work hard to make it to the top but if it means making it to the top with no background and all..i have to work loads harder. yups. that's all for now.
