I was so excited to go for ballet class but lo and behold traffic had to await me. The bus journey from Dhoby Ghaut station to Bukit Timah shopping centre usually takes about 45mins but today it took 2 HOURS!!! Just the bus journey alone took that long, if I include walking and waiting time, that would have amounted to 2 and a half hours. AHHHH!!!! I have never taken so long to travel around Singapore all my life. This was simply ridiculous. I left school at 5.15pm and reached bukit timah shopping centre at 7.45pm so I couldn't go for class cos by the time I changed, tied my hair and entered the studio, I would only be left with 15mins of class!!! No dance teacher would ever let a student in after 5 mins what more an hour. Sighs..anywhoos I still had to stay in the 171 which would take me back to Yishun. I can't believe this means it would have taken me 3 and a half hours instead of an hour to go from Dhoby Ghaut to Yishun. To add to all the drama, my phone died on me so I had no way of contacting the dance station, mommy, prabs, jaz or mel!!!! I felt so naked but thankfully I had my laptop with me and I decided to start blogging. I was browsing through old photos and videos and I found a poem which a friend wrote to me a long time ago and this is how it goes...

There is a girl whose name is nicole
The sight of her makes me warm like a freshly baked swiss roll

She dances like a princess
which sometimes makes other girls depress

She always has this smile that makes her look like miss smiley
but truly

Oh gosh! It's 9.30pm now and I'm finally home, in the comfort of my own bed..

Gee whizz! Much has happened since I last blogged. Firstly, school has begun and it was a lot tougher than I expected it to be. My body was aching extremely especially my legs. Sleep was also another issue..oh wait..rewind..16th July at 6pm...

I headed over to my dearest Mel's house to get ready for Serena's mafia 21st birthday bash. Mel and I were super girly getting our outfits put together, make up done right and hair brushed to perfection. Mel looked smashing in her black cosette, high slit skirt, boots, gloves and to top it all off..a whip!! yes people you read me right.. a whip! Well it's mel and knowing her, she treats costume parties very seriously HAHA. Anyway we met jaz at amk and cabbed down to Serena's chalet. Food was great, booze was awesome but the company was the best. Loads of hilarious nonsense happened but basically we all went back the next morning some at 7 and the rest at 10 plus. hurhurs! I headed home, washed up and headed back out to the marina bay floating platform for YOG rehearsal from 1pm to 9pm which was darn tiring but good. I was so exhausted that instead of having lunch and dinner, I took that time to sleep hahaha. Well I met new friends and one I would never forget is Nicole who stands in front of me..she also shares lots of friends in common with me and we also share a lot of common traits :D

18th July (Sunday)

With only a few hours of sleep and a heavy head, I headed to the CC by 10am for dance practice which turned out to be only Saras and myself. Colin did the most unthinkable thing which shocked me nvm it's over. Anywhooos Saras and I managed to choreograph 2 out of 4 mins of the dance. kudos girl!! :D we left at 2pm and had lunch at the kopitiam at sun plaza with Yoga and Naathan. Chicken rice for the win! Prabs and Mohnish joined us soon after at NUS to build sets for Peter Pan musical. It was hard hard hard work but fun indeed. After a long night, Mohnish, Prabs and myself headed home while the rest went to dhoby ghaut to game. hard core baby hard core!!

The first week of school was rough for me as I was aching a lot...not only did i have to get back the routine of dancing a minimum of 3 hours a day but I was taking extra dance classes outside school. In addition, I was lacking proper sleep and I'm the kinda girl that needs her 8 hours if not I won't be able to function. Nonetheless, I feel and felt good bout school but it was just overwhelming that's all. I miss dance and I will and always love it :D

Speaking of dance, AFT will be having 2 upcoming dance performances. Saras said that soundwave needs a break as there have been too many performances and people are getting exhausted or parents aren't too happy bout it. Anyway I'm happy as I finally get to perform with them and we're doing a hip hop dance item. We seperately found music which we thought would be nice and coincidentally Saras, Yoga and myself picked the SAME SONG!! hahahahahaha. Dance practice with Saras, Colin, Kanitha and KC have been awesome so far and I look forward to more practices with them. We can do it my fellow manequins :D :D

24th July (Saturday)

Woke up early on a Saturday morning but instead of going to the CC for Peter Pan rehearsals, I headed to the marina bay floating platform for YOG rehearsals. Rehearsal was tiring and almost all of us were sunburnt thanks to the scorching sun. I met new friends such as Fim, Brian, Freddie, Sabrina, Janice, Jordan and Anas who was part of AFT. It's nice meeting people who are also dancers as we share the same passion and there's simply too much to be shared. Anas was entertaining me about how much he misses AFT and Cinderella hahahahaha...got to know stuff I never knew. LOL! Anywhoos, after rehearsal I headed back to Yishun for Naathan's bbq. Once again, I met new friends but didn't really spend much time with them. I guess more can be read on Naathan's blog hurhurs. We left at 7am the next morning and went to the coffeeshop for breakfast. The ultimate discovery of the day for Prabs, Mohnish, Yoga and Ravin. PAPER PRATA!! Went home, had my shower and slept for about 2 hours then met my dad and bro at vivo city for lunch at marche as it was his birthday. I miss daddy to a certain extent..life is different without him but definitely not bad...just different. I love and miss you daddy *hugs* Lunch was awesome as we stuffed our faces with potatoes, chicken wings, sausages, rosti with salmon, rack of lamb, beer, lemon lime& bitters, strawberry lemonade, crepes with fruits and walnut maple ice cream and strawberry triffle. Oh my word! we were extremely stuffed man..soon after I met Jazreel for a very brief period to visit her as she shaved her head for the children's cancer foundation. She looked real good and I think she looks better without hair than with hair :D Dad, Tim and I then headed to the helix bridge and marina bay sands to walk around and explore the place. It was hot hot hot but fun. I felt that there were too many boutiques and no restaurants at all..well maybe it's because it's still under construction. There were simply just too many high end shops and the cheapest boutique was Charles & Keith!! Sheesh Lewis!!

26th July (Monday)

I went to the Eurasian Association for dance practice with Lanette as we will be doing a short segment on the Skinny Chef. Kim will be filming the last episode of the Skinny Chef on wednesday. Prabs accompanied me for rehearsal..Lanette entertained us about stuff we shouldn't have known but it was nice to know. HAHAHAHA!!! Anyway we went to Cineleisure for lunch/dinner then caught the Crazies. I swear such movies should only be watched at home because the story line was stupid -.- the show was basically just violent for the sake of being violent and even so it wasn't as bad as other horror films that I've seen. Nonetheless, Prabs and I had heart attacks whilst watching the movie and I was grabbing onto her hand for dear life..hurhurs!! After the movie, we sat at scape and shared stories which was nice. I feel that in every friendship, the day or moment both parties are ready to open up and share intimate details of their lives, it's the most beautiful thing and lovely thing of a friendship.

It's been slightly over a month since i last updated my blog and certain people are bugging me to update and threatening to remove me from bookmarks so yeah here goes my life story.... -.-

Well simply too much has happened over the past one month but basically it has been good. It's bitter sweet that school is starting already cos I know the pressure's definitely on but at the same time I miss my classmates, juniors and most of all seniors!!! Well it's gonna be my time to graduate..yes graduate..I can't believe time's flying so fast. Anyway as I was saying..I can't wait to see the new freshies as well..Will they be better than me? Just as good? Worse? Only God knows!

On the bright side, holidays have been awesome!! Spending time with AFT has really been the ultimate social activity this hols :D suppers with the gang to movies and late night chats with prabs to talking nonsense with naathan to talking dance with colin to hail the almighty gandalf to meeting new and old members of AFT. I won't go into detail of out several outings as it would be crazy long but I'm truly thankful for everyone of you. awwwwww *sobs sobs*

I haven't gone for friday night sessions in church for the longest time ever. The longest thus far was when i was away in australia for a few months but even then I had reason to not be in church. I don't know..it's just been awkward, weird and most of all sad whenever I go down and see them all enjoy themselves and wonder why me Lord why me?! Well everything has its reasons and for mine I guess if such a thing didn't happen, I wouldn't have known my dearest AFT *ponders and recalls all retarded random ridiculous moments*

Oh! I will be performing at the opening ceremony for YOG and for you people out there who still have no clue what they mean...shame on you..go find out yourself :P Anyway rehearsals have been crazy not in terms of timing but it terms of the speed the rehearsal was conducted. I mean we learnt a 10min dance in 3 hours..3 HOURS!!! who does that man?!?! Anywhoooos I love rehearsals, love the O school instructors and most of all the enthusiasm of the dancers :D OH OH!! and of course the music we're dancing to :) I simply can't wait for the next 4 weeks as we will be having rehearsals at the marina bay floating platform so we get to see the various performances, performers and floats from ALL OVER THE WORLD!!! exciting much..

well well hope this update has been satisfying for the people who have been bugging me *ahem ahem* till next time ter um grande dia pela frente
