I turned on the tv and was switching channels as usual. Then i came across the national channel whereby they were interviewing Zhang Ziyi. Her interview was truly inspirational and she is definitely one of my new role models. At a young age of 13, she was enrolled in a top dance academy whereby they train young dancers from ages 11 to 17. They study ballet, modern dance, folk dance(chinese dance) and martial arts.!!! Most of the students there end up being professional dancers . In the case of Ziyi, she never believed in herself as she was constantly at the bottom. One day, her teachers enrolled her in a competition and she felt the drive to work hard as her parents were paying a lot for her school fees and if everyone could do it so could she. She worked extremely hard from technique to flexibility to stamina to style. She took part in a competition and was named one of china's top dancers. Amazing eh..she also took up acting and martial arts which is why she can execute her stunts so gracefully on film..a great example is crouching tiger hidden dragon (: I also admire her because her colleagues have so many positive statements about her. When she is filming, she is usually surrounded by a blue screen as computer effects would be filled in later so most of her acting and stunts is purely her imagination and feelings. She is also a very passionate person as she spends most of her time on set or in her hotel room working. She not only acts in hollywood films but plays which require her to memorise lyrics, portray her feelings of the song and most importantly maintain the style of the song. Most would agree with me that this isn't an easy job eh. On the whole, she has met many obstacles but has made it through tough times.

Conclusion: I know that everyone has to work hard to make it to the top but if it means making it to the top with no background and all..i have to work loads harder. yups. that's all for now.
